Inspiring the Next Generation at the Cambridge Literary Festival

Telfer Partners, Uncategorized

At Telfer Partners, based in the heart of Cambridge, we’re always excited to see our city come alive with ideas, creativity and conversation — and this weekend’s Cambridge Literary Festival was no exception.

Among the many highlights, we had the pleasure of attending a fantastic event at the Cambridge Union Debating Chamber, where author Katie Kirby, creator of the much-loved Lottie Brooks series, spoke to a packed audience of young readers (and their equally enthusiastic parents!).

It was a joy to watch the next generation so engaged — laughing, asking brilliant questions, and feeling inspired not just to read more, but to imagine themselves as future writers too. Events like these are vital in nurturing a lifelong love of storytelling, creativity, and critical thinking — skills we value deeply both personally and professionally.

As a recruitment partner specialising in publishing, education, and the arts, we’re proud to be part of a city that champions books and ideas, and we look forward to seeing the authors and readers of tomorrow emerge from experiences like these.
