Our client, one of the world’s Leading SaaS elearning platform providers for technical and business teams, is seeking a Director, Technology Partnerships.

As Director of Technology Partnerships, you will drive strategic content and technology collaborations that enhance product offerings and market position. Reporting to the Chief Corporate Development Officer, you will identify, develop, and establish high-impact partnerships that align with corporate growth and product development objectives. This role requires a blend of business acumen, sales expertise, and technical understanding to recruit and integrate partnerships that expand market reach, accelerate growth, and strengthen competitive advantage. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, legal, and finance teams to turn ideas into successful, long-term collaborations.

Director, Technology Partnerships: Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with corporate objectives to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence
  • Identify emerging markets and industry shifts while staying informed on new products and competitive service offerings
  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential external partners
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with functional area leads
  • Collaborate with external partners, senior leaders, and internal stakeholders to identify, quantify, and develop impactful growth opportunities aligned with company strategy
  • Use business acumen to evaluate market performance and analyse evaluate data sets to identify high-value opportunities
  • Advise partner leaders and stakeholders on business case development, enablement strategies, budgeting, resource allocation, and implementation
  • Develop internal business plans with market analysis, value proposition, initiative details, high-level implementation plans, organisational considerations, scenario-based financial projections, and risk assessments
  • Create partner-facing proposals and spearhead negotiations from initial discussions to deal closure
  • Develop and negotiate contracts in partnership with senior management and legal teams
  • Align internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth partnership implementation, milestone achievement, and expected outcomes
  • Develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with partners and internal teams, actively promoting offerings through cooperative initiatives
  • Manage key partner relationships, transitioning operational or business ownership when appropriate
  • Provide regular reporting on key metrics, including opportunities, status, alignment, feasibility, progress against projections, and goal attainment
  • Stay up to date with current and future technology and market trends to inform strategy.

Director, Technology Partnerships: Skills/experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of experience in Partnerships, Channel Sales, or strategic Business Development
  • Proven track record in identifying business opportunities and closing deals
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technology trends and their impact
  • Practical expertise in professional technical and business learning across various modalities
  • Solid knowledge of technology and systems integration capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with sales processes and methodologies
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and planning skills
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong reasoning skills to support data-driven decision-making
  • Creative problem-solver with a track record of innovative solutions
  • Thrives in fast-paced, matrixed team environments
  • Trained in sales and marketing methodologies (e.g., Challenger).

A competitive package is offered: $180,000 – $200,000 + Bonus + Benefits including Stock Options.
