Exclusive Head of Business Development – EdTech

Our client is a hugely successful, US-based, EdTech company who have developed a product used by 50 million students (and their tutors) per month across the globe to help them master whatever they are learning. They are now opening their first international office in London and looking to appoint a Head of Business Development to build strategic partnerships that drive user acquisition and content supply.

As Head of Business Development, you will be an integral member of a cross-functional team working with product, marketing and engineering with the vital responsibility of driving expansion into the UK and international markets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving user acquisition through strategic partnerships with market-leading companies across multiple sectors
  • Proactively pursue opportunities to deepen and broaden the content available on the product
  • Assessing opportunities for integration with strategic partner products
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on improved functionality
  • Develop and maintain high-level knowledge of the education and consumer technology landscapes
  • Utilising date you will define scalable methods to identify, define and prioritise new opportunities

You will need deep partnership management experience including high-level contract negotiations along with a proven track record of identifying and sourcing new opportunities. You will have experience of developing transformational partnerships for leading consumer technology, EdTech or publishing companies. You will need an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for digital solutions. It would be desirable if you have experience working for tech start-ups and P&L responsibility.
