Featured Product Specialist, SaaS – Libraries

Our client, an award-winning global digital publisher is looking for a Product Specialist to join their Customer Experience team. Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience the role will focus on understanding customer objectives and requirements and onboarding and training them to help them utilise the SaaS platform effectively to achieve their goals. The role will contribute to future product developments through understanding customer requirements and priorities and sharing this data with the engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Active resolution of customer support issues in a timely and constructive fashion; travelling, when necessary, to offer on-site support to customers
  • Monitoring customer activity across the product platform
  • Promote customer retention by managing after-sales queries and building strong relationship with customers
  • Gather regular feedback from customers to drive proposed platform updates and improvements
  • Lead site build projects in consultation with customers
  • Conduct demonstrations of the platform functionality to potential customers, both on site and remotely
  • Represent the Company at conferences, seminars and other relevant events
  • Reporting sales opportunities within and beyond archival users
  • Train customers in the use of the platform
  • Contribute to the Company’s social media objectives.

Ideal candidates will have a passion and enthusiasm for enhancing customer experience by listening and communicating effectively with the customer community to help them harness the full power and opportunity of the product platform functionality. Highly motivated candidates with a willingness and drive to make a success of the product software with a background in Library Sciences or experience of working with archival systems is desirable. Excellent communication skills will be required and previous experience working in a customer-facing role would be advantageous. The role will require independent working as well as working flexibly as part of a small team.
