An academic publisher, with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years, is looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Manager to manage the marketing communications team to establish and deliver best email practices, team processes, protocols and marcomm strategies to align with the Open Access department goals.

Reporting to the Executive Marketing Communications Manager, the main responsibilities include:

Developing/implementing email campaigns to drive submissions and usage for key OA titles
Identifying, driving and delivering new initiatives to support submission and revenue targets
Managing all aspects of email campaigns, including scheduling, copywriting, data selection etc
Building email campaigns in Dreamweaver using existing HTML template library
Recommending campaign testing strategies and conducting research for both copy and data selections
Undertaking digital advertising campaigns when required
Conducting and critically applying analysis and reporting in order to inform future strategies
Lead on multi-functional projects with a business impact that align with department goals
Managing the OA marketing communications team, including recruitment, development and coaching.

Successful candidates will have solid experience of planning, implementing, measuring and managing complex email and digital advertising campaigns, and sound knowledge of HTML. Excellent communication, analytical, coaching and presentation skills are essential, as are strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and expectations. Proven leadership and coaching experience and the ability to manage relationships across diverse teams are required.
