Senior Marketing Manager – Open Access Journals – FTC

An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking to recruit a Senior Marketing Manager to manage a portfolio of open access journals and lead on new marketing initiatives and projects. The role reports to the Group Marketing Manager and involves line management.
Manage the marketing and strategic development of the open access portfolio including devising and implementing strategic marketing plans
Foster a customer-focused culture within the team and use a variety of marketing channels (such as email, social media, print and digital advertising, and academic conferences) to reach our customers at multiple touchpoints during the customer experience
Devise new digital marketing strategies to drive manuscript submissions and usage
To analyse the results of marketing activities and report back to key stakeholders
Manage direct reports, encompassing recruitment and selection, performance development and performance management and ensure performance support goals and strategic objectives
Collaborate with stakeholders from across the marketing department and other functions within the business to facilitate effective projects and processes
Further the culture of innovation and experimentation within the team
Be up to date with new marketing technologies and trends and apply relevant findings
Demonstrate and embed values of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the team.
Skills/Experience
Experienced in creating and delivering proven revenue generation campaigns in a B2C setting
Knowledgeable in academic publishing, open access journal publishing
Experience of strategic marketing planning
Experienced line manager, who can coach and support the development and growth of line reports
Experience in stakeholder management
